U.S. Continues to Break Vaccine Records, No Thanks to Republicans
April 6, 2021
The United States is continuing to break records in vaccinations, while millions of working families are getting the relief they need and our economy is already showing signs of recovery — thanks to the American Rescue Plan, which not a single Republican in Congress voted for.
President Biden today announced that 150 million vaccine shots have been administered in his first 75 days in office, making the U.S. the first country to reach that milestone as Biden gets closer to fulfilling his promise of administering 200 million doses by his 100th day in office.
CNN: “On Tuesday, the President is scheduled to visit a vaccination site in Alexandria, Virginia, and then give remarks on the state of vaccinations from the White House. That’s when he is expected to say that 150 million doses of the coronavirus vaccine have been administered within his first 75 days in office, in line with a stated goal of 200 million shots by his 100th day in office.”
Americans are already seeing a difference in their lives as more people are vaccinated each day and our economy is already showing signs of improvement thanks to President Biden’s American Rescue Plan.
CNN: “Over the past week, the US administered an average of more than three million doses per day, according to data published by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. That’s more than 900 shots per 100,000 people each day.”
Axios: “The U.S. services sector notched the fastest pace of growth on record last month … It’s another upbeat sign for the economic recovery.”
CNN: “President Joe Biden’s $1.9 trillion stimulus package will boost the US economy and drive faster global growth this year, the International Monetary Fund said Tuesday, though it warned that many countries continue to suffer from the pandemic and are at risk of being left behind.”
