WATCH: Feinstein Presses, Kavanaugh Flails On Whether Sitting President Can Be Subpoenaed

Senator Feinstein pressed Kavanaugh on whether a sitting U.S. president is required to respond to a subpoena in a criminal investigation. Kavanaugh flailed in his response, refusing to give a direct answer.

Kavanaugh previously refused to answer whether the president must comply with a subpoena.

CNN: “Indeed, if confirmed to the Supreme Court, Kavanaugh's views could carry major consequences — particularly as Trump's legal team has warned it would fight a potential special counsel subpoena calling for the President's testimony. Senators tell CNN Kavanaugh has not specified his views on a presidential subpoena.”
