Mike Pence was asked what Trump’s administration should have done differently in its response to the coronavirus … not once, not twice, but five times. The answers are endless: from implementing a real national testing strategy to fully invoking the Defense Production Act to encouraging mask wearing earlier to not downplaying the virus.

Instead, when asked repeatedly by a reporter in South Carolina, Pence chose to dodge, duck, dip, dive, and dodge. The hard truth is that well over four months into this crisis and with more than 140,000 Americans dead, the Trump administration has learned nothing and is completely unable to make the tough decisions necessary to protect the American people.
