WATCH: Sarah Sanders Admits The Truth Behind Trump Firing Rosenstein
September 25, 2018
Today on Fox and Friends, Sarah Sanders had a brief moment of honesty when she admitted why Trump might want Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein gone — to end the special counsel’s probe into himself and his campaign.
Steve Doocy: “One of president’s attorneys, Jay Sekulow, said yesterday that if Rosenstein leaves, essentially the Mueller probably should be put on pause for a little while to go ahead and take a review, step back, and just see where we are in the stage.”
Sarah Sanders: “I would probably go a step further. I think the Mueller probe should end.”
Yesterday, Trump’s lawyer, Jay Sekulow, called for a delay in the Mueller probe if Rosenstein is dismissed or resigns.
ABC News: “Speaking Monday on his radio program, Jay Sekulow called for a ‘a time out on this inquiry,’ referring to Mueller’s investigation into Russian meddling during the 2016 campaign, adding that ‘it clearly becomes necessary and appropriate… that there be a step back taken here, and a review – and I think it’s a review that has to be thorough and complete’ if Rosenstein is dismissed or resigns.”
