Everything Trump does is to benefit himself. That includes his gross abuse of power in Ukraine.  Just now, Ambassador Taylor confirmed that Trump’s political priorities were more important to him than it was to protect Americans by supporting our ally Ukraine.

According to Taylor, Sondland told a State Department staffer that Trump cared more about investigations into his political opponent than about Ukraine.

Taylor: “The  member of my staff asked Ambassador Sondland what President Trump thought about Ukraine. Ambassador Sondland responded that President Trump cares more about the investigations of Biden, which Giuliani was pressing for.”

ALEXANDER VINDMAN: “And is it fair to say that encouraging Ukraine to conduct investigations related to domestic U.S. politics was not in the U.S. national security interests?” A “In my view, I don’t think it was.”
