We Know What Republicans’ Real “Agenda” Is

House GOP leader Kevin McCarthy and extreme Republicans are desperate to tout their “agenda” and we’re here to help highlight what we already know about it.

No matter what they might say, Republicans have confirmed that they will push for a national abortion ban if they take back control. Don’t believe us? Just take a look at Kevin McCarthy’s website for yourself:

Republicans are also running on a plan to raise prescription drug costs on millions of Americans by repealing President Joe Biden and Democrats’ historic cost-cutting legislation. You read that right: The GOP’s “Commitment to America” is raising costs.

But it gets worse: 158 of these same House Republicans are part of a group that put out a plan that would gut Americans’ hard-earned Social Security benefits.

NBC News: “The Republican Study Committee, a large group of House conservatives, proposed a budget in June that would incrementally raise the retirement age to collect Social Security… and lower benefits over the long term.”

McCarthy’s event comes as he completely botched the agenda rollout last week — first when he accidentally made the website public too early and took it down, then used stock footage from Russia in the video advertising Republicans’ so-called “Commitment to America.” Oops.

Despite the complete clown show that was the GOP agenda rollout, let’s make one thing clear: If Republicans take control, they will push to make this extreme vision a reality.
