Welcome Back, Rick Scott

While Republicans in Congress are embroiled in chaos, you can count on Rick Scott to remind the American people about the GOP’s MAGA agenda. It’s a new year but we’re glad to see that Rick Scott is the same ol’ Rick Scott, who remains unabashedly committed to his plan to put Social Security and Medicare on the chopping block. Still licking his wounds from his disastrous run as chair of the NRSC and failed bid for Senate minority leader, Scott is up with a new ad once again spotlighting his disastrous agenda.

While the GOP continues to point fingers and flail, Rick Scott has said he does not regret releasing his plan “one bit.”

Washington Examiner: “Yes, I put out a plan of ideas, and I don’t regret it one bit. Yes, one of them suggested sunsetting laws after five years — noting that if a law is worth keeping, Congress can pass it again. Washington has spent decades exploding the size of our government and wasting money, and it must be stopped.”

It’s not just Scott, though. House Republicans have said gutting Social Security and Medicare is one of their “top priorities.”

Bloomberg Government: “Social Security and Medicare eligibility changes, spending caps, and safety-net work requirements are among the top priorities for key House Republicans who want to use next year’s debt-limit deadline to extract concessions from Democrats.”

Scott has spent the past year pushing his disastrous plan that could put Social Security and Medicare at risk, and clearly, he has no intention of letting up. We hope he continues to remind Americans of how dangerous Republicans’ extreme agenda truly is.
