Yesterday on CBS’s Face The Nation, White House Senior Adviser Stephen Miller doubled down on a potential government shutdown.

Miller: “We’re going to do whatever is necessary to build the border wall to stop this ongoing crisis of illegal immigration–”

Question: “And that means a shutdown?”

Miller: “If it comes to it, absolutely.”

Trump previously said that he would be responsible for a government shutdown, and that he would not blame Democrats.

Trump: “I will be the one to shut it down.”

Trump to Democrats: “I’m not going to blame you for it.”
