To honor the beginning of Diwali, DNC Chair Jaime Harrison and DNC AAPI Caucus Chair Bel Leong-Hong released the following statement:
“As Hindus, Jains, Sikhs, Buddhists, and others celebrate Diwali, the Festival of Lights, in the United States and around the world, we are reminded that light overcomes darkness and unity defeats division. Americans hold this hopeful spirit close to our hearts as we wish all those celebrating a bright, festive, and safe Diwali.”
