JD Vance has buried his head in the sand as Donald Trump, his family, and his administration have taken every opportunity to enrich themselves and earn special favors through shady business dealings and pay-to-play politics. Vance claims that he wants to address corruption saying, “if somebody’s selling access to the White House, that’s disgusting and despicable and they should suffer consequences.” Yet, when Trump was asked about his sons’ business ventures that pose serious conflicts of interest, he said, “I could know about it. I didn’t. I mean, there’s nothing illegal, there’s nothing wrong with it.”
In response, DNC Deputy Communications Director Kendall Witmer released the following statement:
“While JD Vance tries to tout his role as ‘fraud-czar,’ he has turned a blind eye to the out-of-control corruption happening in the White House while everyday Americans pinch pennies to make ends meet. Donald Trump, his kids, and his administration have made billions off of the presidency, and Vance is trying to wash his hands clean while looking the other way. But make no mistake: Vance has been Trump’s most loyal foot-soldier, and voters aren’t letting him off the hook.”
The campaign finance reports of Trump’s super PAC, MAGA Inc., revealed how various companies that donated to MAGA Inc. and were awarded massive federal contracts or favorable actions from the administration.
Meanwhile, the Trump family’s net worth soared after the 2024 election. Trump himself raked in at least $2 billion since returning to the White House — more than any other year. Trump’s sons have used their close connection to the administration to further their business ventures while the administration has funneled hundreds of millions of dollars into numerous companies linked to Trump’s children.
