The stakes are too high this year to sit on the sidelines.

Help secure wins for Democrats up and down the ballot on November 3.

ICYMI: DNC Chair: Trump Failed to Help Americans. Democrats Won’t.

As Democrats, we understand that this election is about holding President Trump accountable. But it’s also about change. It’s about new ideas and fixing a system that has stopped working for people.

In 2024, Donald Trump and JD Vance made a bunch of promises to the American people.

They vowed to bring down prices, drain the swamp, end wars, and fight for the forgotten men and women of this country.

Two years later, Americans have every right to ask: What the hell happened?

Instead of delivering on their promises, they made our problems worse. At every level of government, Republicans enabled Trump and Vance’s higher costs, endless chaos and rampant corruption.

Americans have judged that record for themselves, and in a few short days, they will have an opportunity to hold Republicans accountable. As Democrats, we understand that this election is about accountability, of course, but it’s also about change. It’s about new ideas and fixing a system that has stopped working for people.

Corporations, billionaires get richer. But America needs to work for voters

I know what it’s like when every dollar matters. I grew up as the oldest son of a single mother who worked hard and did everything right, only for the American dream to get further out of reach. Today, millions of Americans are living that same reality.

They’re angry because they see how corporate profits are soaring, billionaires multiplying their wealth and the president bragging that he doesn’t “give a damn” about the criticism on high prices at the pump.

Americans understand exactly who this broken system works for; it’s not them.

As Democrats, if we want to meet this moment and deliver for working people, then we have to do three things: Win on Nov. 3, get to work on day one, and change the system.

When I became chair of the Democratic National Committee, I said the path to rebuilding our party didn’t run through Washington insiders. It began with listening to people – in red states, blue states and everywhere in between.

Across the country, we asked what we were missing, and we took notes. We trained volunteers to have real conversations with people who voted in 2020 but sat out in 2024. We heard about rising costs, fears about health care and frustration with a political system disconnected from their lives.

We then used what we heard to help rebuild our party from the ground up.

We increased investments in every state Democratic Party to build the political infrastructure that wins elections, and surged additional resources to Republican-controlled states. Recognizing the importance of the South and the Sun Belt, we bolstered our organizing capacity to compete across a region that will help shape America’s political future.

As we expanded our reach, we also looked to the next generation of grassroots organizers. We recruited young Americans to register voters and build lasting relationships in their own communities, while hosting regional boot camps to train the organizers, campaign managers and future leaders who will power Democratic campaigns for years to come.

These are critical investments in the future of our party, and they are already starting to deliver results.

Democrats want to deliver a better future for all Americans

By our count, Democrats have won or overperformed in roughly 90% of key races since Trump returned to office – including in places like Iowa, Texas, Nebraska, Florida and Georgia.

This is what happens when you organize everywhere: You start to win anywhere.

But we can’t just build up this critical infrastructure only to dismantle it after Election Day.

That’s why we’re working to create a permanent organizing operation in every state to register voters year-round, recruit candidates in off years, and stay engaged with communities whether there’s an election approaching or not. We’re modernizing how Democrats communicate by investing in the technology, data and digital platforms to reach Americans where they get their information.

Make no mistake, our vision is bigger than beating one administration or winning one election cycle. Our mission is a Democratic Party that earns people’s trust, fights for working families, and restores an economy where hard work is rewarded and the American dream is reachable.

I’m from Minnesota, where our common language is hockey. One of the oldest lessons in the game is that you don’t skate to where the puck is. You skate to where it’s going.

When it comes to politics, Democrats are doing the same.

We’re fighting to hold President Trump and Republicans accountable at the ballot box in 2026.

We’re building for 2028.

And we’re organizing for the next decade to come.

Because it’s not just about winning the next election in front of us; it’s about delivering a better future for every American who calls our country home.
