Ahead of Pence Visit, DNC Launches Digital Ads In Lancaster Highlighting Trump’s Coronavirus Failures

Ahead of Vice President Pence’s visit to Lancaster, Pennsylvania, today the Democratic National Committee is launching new digital ads reaching voters in the Lancaster area that highlight how the Trump administration’s coronavirus response has failed Pennsylvanians and how cases are rising in the state. The total number of U.S. cases of coronavirus surpassed 3 million on Tuesday.

“Trump failed to prepare for coronavirus, he was totally ineffective in responding to it, and now Pennsylvanians are paying the price.” said DNC Spokesperson Maddie McComb. “Nothing Vice President Pence says today can change how Trump’s failed response has cost Pennsylvanians their lives and jobs, and these ads will ensure voters know the facts about his incompetence in this time of crisis.”

Democrats are also greeting Pence to the Keystone State with a press call on Wednesday afternoon featuring Rep. Madeleine Dean, Rep. Brendan Boyle, State Sen. Sharif Street, and State Rep. Mike Sturla to discuss how Trump and Pence’s failed coronavirus response has left the Pennsylvania economy in dire shape. Last week, the DNC’s War Room also released a new ad to highlight how coronavirus is exploding again across the country thanks to President Trump’s failures. Last month, the DNC also released a television advertisement in the Pittsburgh media market highlighting the Trump administration’s broken promises on trade and the economy, and hosted a press call with Senator Elizabeth Warren and Pennsylvania Democrats focused on how Trump’s failure to stand up China has hurt working families.

These digital display banner ads will run on Thursday, July 9 during Vice President Pence’s visit and reach targeted voters in greater Lancaster, PA.  Images of the ads are below:
