187 House Republicans just voted to hold American jobs hostage and side with China because they are opposed to lowering prescription drug costs. Let’s be clear: By opposing the bipartisan CHIPS and Science Act, a majority of House Republicans chose China and Big Pharma over the American people. 

These 187 MAGA Republicans joined 32 of their Senate colleagues in opposing a popular, bipartisan bill that is designed to bring manufacturing jobs back home and lower costs for hardworking American families. Make no mistake: Blocking job-creating legislation is the Republican party line. 

Washington Post: “[The CHIPS Act] would provide $52 billion in subsidies to domestic semiconductor manufacturers… in a bid to strengthen the United States’ competitiveness and self-reliance in what is seen as a keystone industry for economic and national security.”

Congressional Republicans can’t message their way out of this — they have made it crystal-clear that they are more than willing to sacrifice American jobs and livelihoods for a cheap political stunt. The American people simply cannot afford this out-of-touch MAGA agenda.
