DNC Announces New Investments In The Washington Democratic Party

Today the Democratic National Committee announced an additional investment in the Washington Democratic Party to support their efforts in electing Democrats up and down the ballot. This new investment includes funding for staff to aid the state party in organizing and technology efforts. Washington has a very critical special election coming up this November in Manka Dhingra’s bid for the Washington State Senate’s 45th Legislative District and other competitive races in the 2018 election cycle.

“We're getting back to basics and organizing in every zip code. With so much at stake for working families, the DNC is investing in the Washington Democratic Party to support Democrats up and down the ballot” said DNC Chair Tom Perez. “Washington Republicans have been in lockstep with right-wing extremists and Donald Trump – ready to take health care away from millions of Americans while flip-flopping on issues critical to American families. We will hold them accountable in 2017 and beyond.”

“We are thankful for the significant investment the DNC is making in supporting our efforts in the Evergreen State,” said Washington Democratic Party Chair Tina Podlodowski.  “Democrats have the chance to take back the state Senate this year and also send Republicans packing in 2018.”
